What is MUCHCAINE 5% Plus?
MUCHCAINE 5% Plus is a highly effective numbing cream applied for multiple purposes. Thanks to the action of Lidocaine and Prilocaine, this numbing cream is used before many types of treatment, such as syringe injection or surgical treatments.

Characteristics of MUCHCAINE 5% Plus
MUCHCAINE 5% Plus is useful before body piercing, tattooing and laser tattoo removal. Its numbing effect is great before any type of injection, for permanent cosmetic treatments and laser hair removal. Furthermore, MUCHCAINE 5% Plus not only works as a topical anesthesia of the skin for needle insertion or superficial surgical procedures, but its usage is also common before removing condyloma, for the genital mucosa. Moreover, MUCHCAINE 5% Plus is highly effective as a topical anesthesia for leg ulcer prior to cleansing or superficial surgery, like the removal of fibrin, pus and necrotic tissue.

MUCHCAINE 5% Plus can also be used to prevent pain before aesthetic procedures such as permanent makeup, tattoos, and skin treatments such as laser and thread procedures. In addition, MUCHCAINE 5% Plus is beneficial before beauty treatments such as filler injections, mesotherapy treatments or mole removal operations.

The effects of MUCHCAINE 5% Plus remains on the surface of the skin, so it is not used to numb pain that is felt under the skin.

How to Use MUCHCAINE 5% Plus
Precaution before use:
When directly applied to the skin, cover it with an air-tight dressing after applying for this medicine. The occlusive dressing on the application site should normally be maintained for 1-3 hours, and the numbing effect lasts at least 1 hour after the air-tight dressing is removed.

1) Needle insertions (intravenous catheters, blood sampling):

Apply approximately 2g of MUCHCAINE 5% Plus for at least 1 hour, and maximum 5 hours.

2) For minor superficial surgical procedures (treatment of molluscum contagiosum):

Apply 1.5 to 2g of MUCHCAINE 5% Plus per 10㎠ of skin for at least 1 hour.

3) For major superficial surgical procedures (split-skin grafting):

Apply 1.5 to 2g of MUCHCAINE 5% Plus per 10㎠ of skin for at least 2 hours, maximum 5 hours.‌

4) Genital mucosa:

‌As a pre-treatment for removal of condyloma, apply approximately 10g of MUCHCAINE 5% Plus for 5 to 15 minutes. After removal of the cream, the procedure should be performed immediately.‌

5) Leg ulcers:

Cover with an air-tight dressing after applying. MUCHCAINE 5% Plus is intended for single use when used for leg ulcers, the remaining cream on the tube should be thrown away. Apply 1 to 2g of this medicine per 10㎠ of skin up to a total of 10g on the leg ulcer. MUCHCAINE 5% Plus should be applied for at least 30 minutes, with up to 60 minutes for necrotic tissue with a thicker penetration barrier. Cleansing should start within 10 minutes after removal of the medicine. In the treatment of leg ulcers, the medicine can be applied for a maximum of 15 times in 1-2 months if no loss of effect or increase in local reaction is observed. When using MUCHCAINE 5% Plus in infants aged 3-12 months, it is possible to use a maximum of 2 g of cream on a skin area no larger than 16㎠.

Caution after use:

The numbing effects may last an hour or more on the area applied.
