What is Power Fill Body Filler
It is a body filler that uses global particles of polylactic acid (PLA). One of the main differences compared to other fillers is that it stimulates neocollagenesis. It is a long-lasting filler as it is made with safe and hypoallergenic materials. Polylactic acid activates the fibroblasts and starts the process of Neocollagenesis, thus the collagen helps to increase the volume of the area. Moreover, PLA fillers are useful to compensate for soft tissue deficiencies and can be considered a substitute for implants.
Characteristics of Power Fill Body Filler
Powerfill should be injected into the subcutaneous fat layer. This product is used to stimulate skin cells to produce collagen and can be injected into the penis and buttocks. Power Fill Body Filler corrects the asymmetries of the areas in which it is injected. Effects last over 24 months.
How to use Power Fill Body Filler
General Instructions for Filler Injection Procedure
In the beginning, it is important to examine the area in which to proceed with the treatment from the back and sides to determine the specific injection area. This must be done while the patient is standing, as lying down augments the natural gravity and shape. Before disinfecting, it is useful to mark the specific areas.
The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia and lidocaine injection Usually, for the purpose of volumizing, the filler is injected into the upper gluteal region, which lifts up the gluteal area and the sub-gluteal crease. In case the lateral area lacks volume, the filler could be injected to enhance the dips. For this procedure specifically, it is often used the fanning injection technique.
Experts recommend an injection of 30-40 cc of hyaluronic acid gel for each buttock and no more than 100cc per session, especially if it is the patient’s first time. After the treatment, the doctor should evaluate the product distribution and gently massage it from bottom to top if necessary.
Aftercare
Disinfectant should be applied to the injected points after the procedure. In order to enter the skin, the needle is kept parallel to the surface. Backward withdrawal of the needle injects the product. This is called a retrograde linear thread. It is possible to inject the product before the needle in some cases. This can be useful because it can push blood vessels out of the way. In this scenario, we call it an anterograde linear thread, and you can see the product is injected ahead of the advancing needle.
4. Fanning
This technique spreads the product over a wider area. After the needle has passed under the skin, the product is laid down in a linear thread as the needle is withdrawn. However, instead of removing the needle completely, it is necessary to change the angle of the needle and then place another linear thread of product back at the entrance. It is possible to repeat these threads in a radial pattern.
5. Cross hatching
In cross-hatching technique, the procedure starts by injecting a series of linear threads in a parallel orientation. Then it is necessary to change the angle of the needle to 90 degrees from the original, then inject another series of linear threads, which are all perpendicular to the first row.
